Mayfield's 5th Annual Winterfest Christmas Festival Nov. 24 | Arts & Culture

MAYFIELD, KY (KFVS) - The City of Mayfield's 5th Annual Winterfest Christmas Festival will be Saturday, November 24 on the downtown court square.

A lineup of activities include:

2 p.m. - Mrs. Claus's Candy Cane Hunt, courthouse lawn

• For children 10 and under - Mrs. Claus has hidden candy canes - find one with special markings and get a special toy

3 p.m. - Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus

• Vendors will be set up selling chili, chili dogs and more food items
• Free hot chocolate furnished by Liberty Baptist Church
• Pick up your City Christmas Ornament for 2012
• Take a peek at the lighted Christmas Village in windows of the old Anderson's store on the south side of the square

5 p.m. - Lighting of the Winterfest Christmas Tree and start of Christmas Parade

• Parade sponsored by the Mayfield Lions Club
• This year's parade theme is "Christmas Fantasies"

6 p.m.-? - Float Display

• Walk up and down 7th Street and see the floats "up close and personal" as they line up for display
