Mayor announces hiring, promotions in Mayfield Fire Dept. | Community Spirit

MAYFIELD, KY (KFVS) - Mayfield Mayor Teresa Cantrell says the recent retirement of two Fire Department leaders has led to the promotion of several within the department.
According to Cantrell, Jason Baldwin has been promoted to the position of Assistant Chief, replacing retiree Scot Awberry. Baldwin has worked for the fire department since April 2001. He is an EMT and Paramedic, and most recently has served as the department's training officer.
Cantrell said Greg Sasseen has been promoted to the position of Captain, replacing recent retiree Eric Young. Sasseen, a 16-year veteran of the department, has served as an EMT/Lieutenant most recently.
Joining the Mayfield Fire Department as firefighters, currently enrolled in EMT Certification school are Darrel Neidigh IV and Keith Casey.
Chief Mike Jones is also pleased to announce that Kyle Kendall has recently received his accreditation as a paramedic.
The City of Mayfield congratulates these employees on their recent accomplishments, promotions and employment.
