Mayfield plans 9/11 Remembrance Day | Community Spirit

MAYFIELD, KY (KFVS) - The city of Mayfield will hold a Remembrance program on the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy.

This year's program will honor police, firefighters, rescue workers and military personnel.

"The 9/11 anniversary is a time to remember how fortunate we are to live in a country where Americans in service-oriented jobs like firefighters, police officers and the military - are willing to give their lives for their fellow Americans", said Mayor Theresa Cantrell.  "That's what we honor as we look back on 9/11."

The program will begin at noon on Tuesday, September 11, at the front of the courthouse.

The public is invited to attend this special observance.
