Christmas village on display on Mayfield Square's South Side | Community Spirit

MAYFIELD, KY (KFVS) - Mayfield Mayor Teresa Cantrell says a special addition to this year's Paint the Town project on the south side includes a 100 plus piece Christmas village display in the storefront windows of the Anderson's building.
Cantrell described it as a labor of love, and probably for the last time, she thanked the Anderson family for the use of the storefront for this special Christmas treat.
The village is lighted and is available for viewing for passers-by.
“And if they’ll listen carefully, they might even be able to hear the music from the Winter Festival in the tiny Christmas village," Cantrell said.
The display was a little less than a week in the making, with about four people working together.
“Not something I want to do every year,” Cantrell said, “but it’s fun to get it out every so often and display it – even though it’s a lot of work. Just consider it my Christmas present to the city this year."
The display will be available for viewing throughout the Christmas season.
