2 men arrested after early morning foot chase | Crime
GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon reports two people have been arrested after an early morning foot chase on Tuesday.
Nathan Leath, 23, of Fulton and Joseph Brown, 24, of the Pryorsburg community were arrested and taken to the Graves County Jail.
According to Redmon, Deputy Steve Halsell saw two people sitting in a vehicle parked off of N. 8th Street near North Street. When Halsell approached the vehicle he could smell burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. While questioning the two in the vehicle Halsell noticed a pair of brass knuckles partially exposed in the driver door side pocket.
Redmon said Brown kept giving the deputy false identification information. When asked to get out of the vehicle, Brown ran and was eventually found by Lt. Jason Rigler of the Mayfield Police Department hiding in a tree several blocks away.
Leath was charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
Brown was served with a parole violation warrant, second degree fleeing and evading, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphanalia and giving a police officer a false name.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Kentucky State Police and the Mayfield Police Department.
