Ex-husband charged with Graves Co. woman's murder | Crime

GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon said the ex-husband of a Graves County woman has been arrested in Nashville, Tenn.

Robert McConahie was arrested in Nashville early Thursday morning and charged with murder.

Officers responded to a home in the Baltimore Church area of Wingo on New Year’s Day. When they arrived, Redmon said they found Wendy Cook, 52, dead inside her home.

According to Redmon, during an autopsy Wednesday medical examiners determined her death was not by natural causes and he assigned an investigation team on the case.

As of Thursday, Redmon said the cause of death was strangulation. He said there had been issues back and forth between McConahie and Cook since the divorce.

McConahie is waiting on extradition back to Graves County.
