GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -  Two people were injured in separate crash incidents in Graves County.

A three vehicle collision on sent a Mayfield woman to the hospital.

At approximately 8:10 a.m. Wednesday a Honda Civic driven by Christopher Bounds, 19 of Wingo, was southbound on KY 1241 near East Hunt Road.

As Bounds was nearing a construction work area a vehicle in front of him came to a sudden stop.

Bounds collided with the rear of that vehicle which was possibly a Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable.

After that crash Lauren Alexander, 19 of Mayfield, was also southbound on KY 1241 in a Nissan Altima.

Alexander did not notice the other two vehicles stopped in front of her. She collided with the rear of Bound’s vehicle.

According to officers, neither Bounds nor either of his passengers were injured. However, Alexander was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center via Mayfield/Graves County EMS for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Captain Jeremy Prince is continuing this investigation and is seeking any information that the public may have on the vehicle that left the scene.

The vehicle was possibly a gold or tan colored Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable with African-American male driver.  The vehicle should have rear end damage.
