Graves Co. deputies seize guns, large amount of drugs from home | Crime
GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Sheriff Dewayne Redmon says deputies and investigators executed search warrants at two Graves County homes late Monday evening and seized several firearms and a large amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Deputies are now searching for Jerry Gipson, 57, of the Clear Springs community and Chance Lee Richardson, 28, of the Melber community.
According to Redmon, a deputy saw a vehicle run through a stop sign at Panther Creek Road. As he approached the vehicle the driver seemed to be very upset and he learned of domestic dispute that had occurred overnight.
While speaking with the driver of the car, the deputy learned that the woman’s daughter had a gun pulled on her and held to her head Friday night in the Melber community. She told offers the individual that was holding the gun to the victim's head had allegedly threatened to kill her and then pulled the gun away from her head and fired it.
After investigators arrived at the home on McKendree Church Road, they found marijuana stored on the property. A search warrant was obtained and executed on the property. They found several guns, less than 5 pounds of marijuana and a small amount of U.S. Currency.
Redmon says another search warrant was executed in Melber in an attempt to find the gun used in the earlier incident and to locate illegal drug activity. He says a small amount of marijuana and controlled substance was found in the home.
According to Redmon, investigators have spoken to Gipson and a family member of Richardson but, at this time they have not been found, to be charged in connection with these crimes.
