Heroin bust nets two in Graves County | Crime
GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - On Wednesday, February 13, Graves County detectives were able to locate and arrest two area people that have been involved in the trafficking of Heroin in Graves County.
Detectives were able to locate and stop a vehicle that had just returned from the Chicago area with an amount of Heroin that was about to hit the streets of our community.
Detectives detained Ricky L Tynes Jr., 32, of Mayfield and Kelsey Wallace, 21, of Mayfield after a traffic stop on Jimtown Road just north of Mayfield.
Tynes has outstanding felony warrants on file in Graves and Calloway counties.
After further investigation it was learned that Wallace had heroin on her person obtained in Chicago.
A syringe was also found in the vehicle in which they had used during the return trip.
Tynes and Wallace will be charged today with trafficking in a controlled substance first degree heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sheriff Dewayne Redmon said his detectives have been hearing that Heroin was becoming prevalent and more readily accessible mostly by one individual in the County (Tynes). He said that the detectives have been investigating this individual for several months.
