Graves boys, girls Third Dist. Champs enter Region 1 Basketball Tourney | Events
GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The Graves County High School boys and girls basketball teams both won the championships of the Third District last week and will play in the Region 1 Tournament this week at Murray State University.
All tickets are for general admission and cost $7 for adults and $5 for students.
The Eagles will play Marshall County in the first round at the CFSB Center at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
“With the anticipation of long lines for the Graves County-Marshall County first round match-up at Murray State University, we’ve offered to pre-sell the tickets to accommodate Eagle fans,” said Graves County athletic director Doug Gloyd. “The tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning at 7 a.m. Tuesday, through the Graves County High School athletic office. We’ll sell them until noon or until they’ve sold out.”
The Lady Eagles will play Lone Oak at Racer Arena at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Tickets for the girls’ game will be available at the door.
“Both teams have a solid chance at advancing in the regional tournament,” Gloyd said. “With this being said, we will need all hands on deck, and we need to paint Murray State University Graves County Blue on Tuesday and Wednesday. It has been a tremendous season thus far, and we need for it to continue. Let's support our Eagle Basketball teams. Go Eagles!”
