The 5KFVS Run/Walk is coming up! It will be May 18 in downtown Cape Girardeau, Mo.

This year, to celebrate the 5th year, we're adding a 12K!

Have you ran the 5KFVS, or even ran all five years? We want to see your photos from past events!

GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Symsonia Elementary School’s library will be the site of a reception honoring principal Lisa Gamble upon her retirement after 30 years as an educator.

It will be held between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday, May 19.

Graves tennis trio advance in 2013 postseason play

GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Graves County's trio of (4) Preston Simmons (pictured at right)-Mitchell Wiggins and (4) Emily Whitnell recently advanced to the semifinals of the First Region Tennis Tournament.

The Eagle teams found their Lone Oak competition as good as advertised. Whitnell played the No. 1 girls’ singles seed from Lone Oak while Simmons-Wiggins played the No. 1 boys’ doubles seed from Lone Oak. This is Simmons-Wiggins’ second consecutive appearance in the regional tennis semifinals, while it’s Simmons’ third appearance.

Seniors boys, girls regional basketball games set for May 18

GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Graves County will host a senior all-star high school boys’ basketball game at Graves County Middle School at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 18, and a senior all-star girls’ basketball game at 3 p.m.

Coaching the boys’ teams will be Terry Birdsong (Graves County), Bruce Lane (Calloway County), Brian O'Neill (Carlisle County), and Henry Edwards (Hickman County). 

Coaching the girls’ game will be Amy Carrico (Graves County), Ember Wright (Carlisle County), Rechelle Turner (Murray), and Joseph Simmons (Marshall County).
