DARE returned to the Graves County Schools in early 2012, after an absence of several years. School Resource Officer John Cavin posed with the group and taught their class, the second group at Symsonia since the program returned.

He said sixth grade is a prime time to present DARE, since the students will face a larger world in middle school next year. He explained that helping equip students transitioning from childhood to young adult years with ways to stand strong against negative habits is one of the most important things he does in his work.
