GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Events at the Graves County School District on Friday and Saturday are available.

Events on Friday, Nov. 11 include:

Cuba - Toddler Time from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
GCHS - Veterans Day assembly at 8:10 a.m.
Farmington - Toddler Time from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
Middle School - Veterans Day assembly at 11:20 a.m.
Lowes - Veterans Day program at 1 p.m.
Middle School - 7th grade girls' (grey) and boys' (blue) basketball host Fulton City at 5 p.m.

Events on Saturday, Nov. 12 include:

Middle School - 7th grade girls' and boys' basketball Gunnin' for Gunner
GCHS - Eagle dinner at 6 p.m.

(GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Events for the Graves County School District on Thursday, Nov. 10 are available.

Events include:

GCHS - Sophomores meet with Middle College Representatives in the PAC at 8 a.m.
Sedalia - Farm Safety Day
Symsonia - KCCT Awards ceremony at 9 a.m.
Farmington - Tutoring from 2:36 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Symsonia - STLP (Megabytes) from 2:36 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Wingo - Parent Teacher Conferences from 2:40 p.m. to 5:40 p.m.
Symsonia - SBDM at 3:30 p.m.
Middle School - 7th grade boys' (grey) and 8th grade boys' and girls' basketball visits Ballard at 4:30 p.m.
Cuba - PTO Christmas Auction at 5:30 p.m.

Central - Energize Guys at 9:30 a.m.
Farmington - STLP from 2:36 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Symsonia - Academic practice from 2:36 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Central - Academic team practice from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Middle School - FOR Ambassador meeting from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Middle School - 7th and 8th grade girls' and 7th grade boys' (grey) basketball visit Paducah at 5 p.m.

Sedalia Singers bring variety of music to nursing home residents

GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The "Sedalia Singers," a fifth and sixth grade choir from Sedalia Elementary School, recently visited three area nursing homes to share musical cheer with the residents.

The choir performed at Heritage Manor, Mills Health and Rehab, and Green Acres Nursing Home.

The residents hummed and clapped along to tunes such as "Rockin' Frere Jacques," "Down by the Riverside," "Aiken Drum," and "Shenandoah." Fifth grader Benjamin Phillips also performed "Amazing Grace" on the piano for the residents.

The group rehearses weekly and performs at different places throughout the year. Sedalia music teacher Stephenie Wheeler conducts the choir.

Fancy Farm - Hearing and vision screening

Central - Drama club from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Military personnel invited to GCMS Veterans Day breakfast, assembly

GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - U.S. military veterans and those currently serving their country, who are family or friends of Graves County Middle School students, are encouraged to help the school celebrate Veterans Day.

They’re asked to attend the breakfast scheduled in the school cafeteria between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11.

For planning purposes, those attending are asked to RSVP by calling 270-674-4890 or 328-4890.

Military service men and women are also invited to a special Veterans Day assembly at Graves County Middle School, starting at 2:15 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11.
