GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The Summer Feeding Program at Graves County Schools and Fulton will include free lunches for children on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
"Federal money is available to provide nutritious lunches for children who might not get the food they need when schools out," said Graves County Schools Food Service Director Leah Mills. "So, the program is free to anyone 18 or younger at our sites. We've operated in Graves County for several years and we were really happy to expand it to the city of Fulton last year at a city park."
The First United Methodist Center in Fulton has provided the Willingham Center as the site this year.
Mills says kids can beat the heat in the air-conditioned center and enjoy the Fulton Public Library's presentation of a summer reading program. She said the kids can even get a free ride to the site thanks because of funding from the Fulton Housing Authority.
