Central Elementary 2nd graders learn about ropin’ n’ ridin’ from high school FFA students

GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Graves County Central Elementary School second grader James Swindle smiles as he rides a horse with the help of Graves County High School FFA members and agriculture students Bethany Cartwright and Jake Strong.

After reading the book "Round-up at Rio Ranch," all of Central’s second grade students were treated to a day of fun at the GCHS Horse Barn, under the supervision of agriculture teacher and FFA advisor Richard Horn.

Students enjoyed riding and a hayride. They also learned about horses, different types of saddles, and roping skills.
