Mayfield, Graves schools receive $2,380 from 'Drive 4 UR School' event | News
GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Mayfield and Graves County high schools earlier this school year partnered with Purchase Ford to help raise money in support of Mayfield High School clubs and the Graves County Schools’ Eagle Foundation, as part of Ford Motor Company’s “Drive 4 UR School” program.
For every person who test-drove a new Ford vehicle at that one-day event, Ford Motor Company and Purchase Ford donated $20 to the schools. Also, this year only, to introduce the all-new 2013 Ford Escape, another $10 was given for a test drive in that new SUV. The event took place on a November Saturday at Graves County High School.
Pictured above from left, Purchase Ford general manager Al Page recently presented checks for $2,380 split equally between Mayfield High School, represented by principal Don Hubbard, and Graves County High School, represented by Eagle Foundation president David Hargrove and secretary/treasurer Michelle McKee.
The school representatives expressed gratitude for Purchase Ford’s interest in and support of education and students. Page took the opportunity to announce another “Drive 4 UR School” event to take place for the benefit of both school districts at Mayfield High School Saturday, April 27.
“This time,” Page said, “we want to earn $6,000.”
