Graves County Schools employee earns state transportation award | People
GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Graves County School District Transportation Department administrative assistant Penny Rowe recently was presented a statewide award.
The Kentucky Association of Pupil Transportation at its fall conference each year honors a superintendent, transportation director, driver trainer, technician, bus driver, special needs bus driver, and a transportation employee whose job description is outside those categories.
Rowe won the latter category and was named the KAPT “Other Personnel of the Year” for 2012. Award sponsors include Clark Power Service and Allison Transmission.
“Penny Rowe is a key member of our Graves County team,” said district transportation director Jason Riley. “She has years of experience, knows what to do in just about any situation, is a tremendous help to me and our entire staff, and she wants what’s best for kids. We’ve all known this for a long time. We’re really happy that our state organization has recognized her for her tremendous qualities as well.”
