GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Dana Wyatt of Hickory will appear as a contestant on the nationally-syndicated game show "Wheel of Fortune."

Her game will air Thursday, Jan. 19 at 6:30 p.m.

Wyatt works as a secretary for the Graves County School District at its special education testing center. She said she auditioned when the “Wheel Mobile” visited Harrah’s Hotel in Metropolis, Ill., in May 2010.

Accompanying her for the four-night trip to Culver City, Calif., were husband Jeff, daughters Patlin (a seventh grader now at Graves County Middle School) and Piper (now 2 years old), and even members of her extended family. In the days surrounding the Dec. 1 taping, they enjoyed Disneyland.

Wyatt said the show employs staff members called “wranglers,” who encourage contestants and keep their spirits up.

“Pat Sajak was very funny and he thinks really well on his feet,” she said, “and Vanna White was very, very nice and even more likeable than on TV.”
