GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - The Graves County Schools will host American Red Cross blood drives this fall.
While elementary and middle school students are too young to donate, they invite parents, grandparents, other relatives, friends, and neighbors to their schools to take the opportunity to give the gift of life.
Graves County elementary schools’ blood drives will take place during mid-September.
- Tuesday, Sept. 11, drives are scheduled at Central, Fancy Farm, and Sedalia.
- Wednesday, Sept. 12, is the date for Cuba, Farmington, and Lowes.
- Thursday, Sept. 13, drives will take place at Symsonia and Wingo.
Each elementary school blood drive will take place between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. on the designated date.
Graves County Middle School will host a blood drive for the public Tuesday, Dec. 4, between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Graves County High School students, who are eligible, may give blood in the P.E. Commons Friday, Oct. 19, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Teacher Jennifer Hunter is in charge.
“We will be taking sign-ups the week before, Oct. 8-12, during lunches in the commons," she said. "The Red Cross takes donors who are on the sign-up list prior to taking walk-ins.”
