GCHS students place well in 2013 Governor’s Cup state academic competition

GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Graves County High School students Jonathan Goatley (left) and Chris Woods both placed well in individual written social studies assessment competition at the Kentucky Governor's Cup State Tournament in Louisville.

Goatley placed 17th and Woods placed 18th in a large field of competitors.

  • Saturday, May 18, GCHS, Varsity and JV Softball Team visit Christian County, time TBA, competitor TBA
  • May 20-25, GCHS, Varsity and JV Softball Team hosts the District Tournament, time TBA, competitor TBA
  • May 27-June 1, GCHS, Varsity and JV Softball Team visit Murray for Regional Tournament, time TBA, competitor TBA
  • Saturday, May 18, Cuba, Running to Remember, inaugural run in memory of Jill McClain, intended to become an annual event, 9 a.m.
  • Monday, May 20, Graves County Schools, Closing Day for Faculty and Staff
