Rain moving across the region today can float a film of oil to the road surface and make for hazardous driving conditions.

Drivers are reminded to slow down and use appropriate caution during the widespread rain moving across the region this afternoon and evening. Some severe thunderstorms are possible.

According to KYTC, drivers are reminded that whenever it rains hard enough to require windshield wipers you should turn on your headlights to improve your visibility out on the road.
